Bulldog Basketball Hosts Annual Take a Kid to the Game Night on February 7
The University of Redlands is pleased to announce that the
annual NCAA Basketball® Take a Kid to the Game Night will take
place on Saturday, February 7. The Bulldog basketball teams will
host the Poets of Whittier College in a Southern California
Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) doubleheader in Currier
Gym. The women tip off at 5 p.m., followed by the men’s game
at 7:30 p.m.
Any adult accompanied by a child, age 18 and under, will receive
free admission into both games. All children are automatically
admitted free.
“We are excited to once again serve as hosts to the NCAA
Basketball® Take a Kid to the Game program,” said
Director of Athletics Jeff Martinez. “We look forward to
sharing the experience of collegiate basketball with the young
people of our community.”
The Take a Kid to the Game celebration is an NCAA-sponsored event
and will feature fun halftime games and prizes for the kids.
The University of Redlands is hosting one of more than 700 games
that will be played across the nation this season as part of the
Take a Kid to the Game program. TAKG is a grassroots marketing
campaign created by IMG College to encourage alumni and fans to
take their kids out to local arenas to experience intercollegiate
athletics.
