Both players made significant contributions to their respective teams while also owning impressive GPAs that are currently above 3.75.
During the previous month, Nanda helped the No. 17 Bulldog men's tennis team to a 3-2 record as a member of the singles and doubles line-ups. He provided undefeated showings against Brandeis University (MA), Caltech, and 12th-ranked Concordia University – Irvine, en route to five overall doubles victories and three singles triumphs.
Nanda looks forward to completing his Bachelor of Science in Biology in April.
The Redlands men's tennis team is currently 6-3 and looks forward to hosting No. 25 Swarthmore College (PA) later today at 3 p.m.
In February, Oster helped the Bulldog women's basketball team to close out the regular season with a 5-1 record in Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) competition, which included a second victory over first-place Cal Lutheran University. A ferocious defender, she pulled in 10.4 rebounds per game, highlighted by a three-game stretch with 13 or more in each. This Biochemistry and Molecular Biology double-major also supplied 43 total points, five blocks, four steals, and four assists.
The Bulldog women's basketball team finished tied for second in the conference standings and advanced to the SCIAC Postseason Tournament for the sixth straight time.
Redlands' ODK requests nominations from coaches and athletic staff each month in an effort to distinguish student-athletes who demonstrate extraordinary leadership throughout their collegiate experience. In addition, these leaders must boast academic success by achieving a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
Established in 1914, ODK is the national leadership honor society that recognizes students for outstanding leadership and involvement in extracurricular activities. For more information about ODK, please visit http://odk.org.
