Equipped with an eclectic knowledge of sports, Bai Kabba joined the University of Redlands football staff as a graduate assistant coach in January of 2016. After coaching the wide receivers for a season, Kabba took over the running backs. In addition to working with the Bulldogs, he is pursuing his Master of Business Administration through the School of Business.
Prior to becoming a Bulldog, Kabba graduated from North Central College in Naperville, Illinois, with a degree in marketing in 2014. He competed for the North Central football team as a starting wide receiver during the Cardinals’ 2011 season that culminated in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) championship. His first-ever collegiate game took place in our very own Ted Runner Stadium, revealing an early and unique connection to Bulldog football.
In addition, Kabba brings high-caliber track & field experience, as he became a two-time All-American and was part of a three-peat as team national champions at North Central.
Most recently, Kabba coached the wide receivers of the varsity football team at Batavia High School in Batavia, Illinois. He also gained versatility by serving as the sophomore girls’ basketball coach.
Kabba hopes to one day become a head coach of a college football team. He coaches because he believes sports have a positive influence on the lives of student-athletes.
In his spare time, Kabba enjoys playing pick-up basketball, listening to music, and spending time with friends and family.
