Following three wins over ranked opponents, the University of Redlands men's tennis team elevated six spots on the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division III National Rankings, as announced by the organization on Friday.
Most recently, the Bulldogs have fired off four consecutive victories, highlighted by a 7-2 upset over then-No. 7 Case Western Reserve University (OH).
Redlands is one of five Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) programs to earn a national ranking, spanning from as high as No. 4 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges to as low as No. 26 Whittier College.
Sophomores Patrick Lipscomb (Irvine, CA) and Nick Cummins (Rancho Mirage, CA) lead the Maroon and Gray, playing singles at Nos. 1 and 2, respectively. They both also contribute to the doubles lineup among the top two positions.
The Bulldogs (7-3) return to SCIAC action on Saturday when they face off with No. 6 Cal Lutheran University at 11 a.m. on Verdieck Courts.
