The 21st-ranked University of Redlands women's golf team collected its second consecutive second-place finish during Thursday's Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) 18-hole No. 2 match at Sterling Hills Country Club.
Sophomore Hannah Durette (Oceanside, CA) led the Bulldog lineup by finishing fourth overall in the field with a round of 82. Durette has now shot seven rounds under 85 in 2011-12 with four in a row.
Placing second for the Maroon and Gray, freshman Dalton Meade (Sandy, OR) signed off her scorecard with an 83 for the second straight event.
Second-year swinger Siarra Waddy (Temecula, CA) and freshman Samantha Conway (Ripon, CA) each tied for 10th at the tournament, registering 18-hole rounds of 86.
Both freshman Hannah Purdy (Newbury Park, CA) and senior Tracy Saracino (Englewood, CO) got off to a tough front nine, but the duo battled back with respective scores of 40 and 42 on the second half of the day.
The Bulldogs hit the links again at the Cal State San Marcos Invitational at Twin Oaks Country Club on Monday and Tuesday, beginning at 7 a.m.
