Junior Caroline Ordian Executes Strong Finish to Move into a Tie-For-Ninth Place on Final Day of NCAA Women's Golf Championships

Junior golfer Caroline Ordian (Palm Desert, CA) teed off on the par-72 golf course at Bay Oaks Country Club for the fourth and final day of the 2017 NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championships on Friday. Under beautiful sunny skies, Ordian carded a 74 to match her day-three finish and climb into a tie for ninth place with a 303 (80-75-74-74).

After shooting even through her first six holes, she went on to record 12 pars and two birdies on the day.

The three-time All-American improved incrementally each day and ultimately moved up from tied-for-37th to tied-for-ninth in the individual standings.

Overall, she posted 47 pars on the week and ranked among the fields' top 15 in all scoring categories for par threes, par fours, and par fives.  She was also one of nine players to record an eagle at some point during the tournament.

This marks Ordian's third NCAA appearance in her three seasons with the Maroon and Gray.
