The No. 13 University of Redlands women's tennis team embarked upon a three-match road-stint in Santa Cruz with today's non-conference match against No. 17 Skidmore College (NY).  After falling at No. 1 doubles, the Bulldogs unleashed eight straight triumphs to remain undefeated on the season.

Following Skidmore's tight 8-6 showing at the No. 1 spot in doubles, the Maroon and Gray answered with an 8-6 decision of its own by junior Paige Press (La Jolla, CA) and freshman Lauren Villanueva (El Segundo, CA) at No. 3.  Sophomore Julia Pollak (Holland, PA) and freshman Natalie Etchegaray (Placentia, CA) rallied for the Bulldogs' second doubles win with an 8-4 performance at No. 2.

Leading 2-1, the Bulldogs continued to roll in singles, as sophomore Ceara Sumida (Hilo, HI) made quick work of her No. 3 opponent by scores of 6-3, 6-1.  Pollak and Etchegaray put this one in the books for the Maroon and Gray, with Pollak's 6-1, 6-3 thrashing at No. 5 and Etchegaray's 6-4, 6-3 effort at No. 2.
