The University of Redlands women's tennis team climbed three spots to No. 10 on the most recent Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division III National Rankings.
As one of four Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) programs to be included on the national poll, Redlands boasts the second-highest ranking among the group.
In addition, the Bulldogs are ranked No. 2 in the West Region, according to the March 28 announcement.
Individually, junior Jessica Ly (Torrance, CA) leads the Maroon and Gray as the top singles competitor at fifth in the region. Freshman Natalie Etchegaray (Placentia, CA), who plays No. 2 for Redlands, comes in at No. 14 among the West.
In doubles, Ly and sophomore Ceara Sumida (Hilo, HI) represent the Bulldogs as the second-ranked duo among the rankings, with Etchegaray and sophomore Julia Pollak (Holland, PA) owning the eighth spot within the west.
Redlands has knocked off multiple ranked foes, including previously No. 8 DePauw University (IN) in a 6-3 decision on Saturday, March 23.
The Bulldogs (12-0) head to Whittier College later today for a 2 p.m. showdown against the Poets.
