The University of Redlands women's tennis team continued its rise in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division III National Rankings, moving up one spot to No. 9 in the country on Thursday's poll.
The Bulldogs boast an overall record of 15-1 with their only loss coming on Saturday in a 2-7 decision to Claremont-Mudd-Scipps Colleges, which sits at No. 2 on the rankings.
Prior to that inaugural defeat, the Maroon and Gray had knocked off its first 15 opponents, including nine among those on the poll. This run was highlighted by an upset-win of then-No. 8 DePauw University (IN) on March 23.
Redlands is one of four Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) schools to be included in the national rankings.
Among the Bulldogs' line-up, sophomore Julia Pollak (Holland, CA) shores up the No. 5 slot in singles with an impressive 15-1 record. She also joins forces with freshman Natalie Etchegaray (Placentia, CA) at the No. 2 doubles position, earning the same outcome thus far.
Redlands (15-1, 4-1 SCIAC) takes to the road for its final three dual matches, competing at Caltech and Occidental College on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m., respectively.
