On Thursday, the U.S. Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced that the University of Redlands men's cross country program nabbed All-Academic recognition for registering a combined 3.10 GPA or higher during the 2011 fall semester.

The Bulldog squad posted an overall cumulative team GPA of 3.16 as one of the 131 institutions represented by the organization. Along with the U of R, Caltech, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges, Occidental College, Pomona-Pitzer Colleges and the University of La Verne represented the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) as one of the 34 conferences to receive the accolade.

Seven of the top-10 finishing teams at the 2011 NCAA Championships earned All-Academic status.
