Redlands wraps up 2024-25 finishing third in SCIAC All-Sports standings

SCIAC All-Sports Final Standings Release

LAGUNA NIGUEL, Calif. – The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced the final 2024-25 SCIAC All-Sports Standings where the University of Redlands finished third overall with 128.5 points after sitting in fifth place and seven points out of third place following the completion of the winter sports.

Redlands finishes 13 points clear of Chapman University and 18.5 points away from California Lutheran University (CLU). They were 36 points back of second place Pomona-Pitzer and 39.5 points of Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS).

Teams receive points for their regular season finish inside of SCIAC with a total of 46 points going to the nine conference teams and 45 if there are eight teams that sponsor the sport. Conference champions earn 10 points, second place (8), third place (7), fourth (6), fifth (5), sixth (4), seventh (3), eighth (2), and ninth (1).  

In the men's standings the Bulldogs ranked third with 70 points, only 1.5 behind Pomona-Pitzer and 12 back of CMS. They had a massive 16-point advantage over Chapman.

The Bulldogs did not finish any lower than seventh in any men's sport. Overall, they finished fourth or better in eight of the 10 sponsored sports. The Bulldogs had three SCIAC Regular Season Champions coming from Soccer, Basketball, and Water Polo.  Those three sports along with Golf and Tennis all finished second or better in their respective season's. The five Top-2 finishes are tied for the second most in program history.  

In the women's final standings, the Bulldogs finished with 58.5 points, which was the fifth-most within the conference. It was a tight finish for third as Chapman took it with 61.5 points followed by California Lutheran University in fourth with 60 points. Redlands was 16 points clear of Occidental College.  

Softball pulled in the Bulldogs' lone SCIAC Regular Season Championship Title. Cross Country, Lacrosse, Tennis, and Track and Field were all third-place finishers.
