USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams
REDLANDS, Calif. - Academic awards from the United States Track and Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) were announced this week with the University of Redlands Track & Field teams both being recognized along with seven individuals.
Both the men's and women's teams were ahead of the 3.10 benchmark needed to be recognized as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Team with the men posting a 3.17 and the women a 3.55. Additionally, three male student-athletes and four female student-athletes were recognized as All-Academic athletes for posting GPAs over a 3.30 and ranking among the Top-50 in an individual event or Top-35 in a relay.
The Bulldogs who earned the individual accolades included
Jude Holling (Undeclared),
Aram Sarkissian (Economics),
Mari Evonuk (Marketing) and
Sabrina Semmere (Kinesiology) who all received recognition for the first time in their careers,
Elisabeth Eichinger (Political Science) who earned recognition for the second time in their careers,
Corte Peterson (Business Administration) who collected recognition for the third straight year, and
Ella Bachmeier (Media and Visual Culture Studies & Business Administration) who is on the All-Academic team for the fourth straight year.
Individuals must maintain a minimum 3.30 cumulative GPA as well as place among the top 50 in the nation on the descending order lists on TFRRS, or compete as a member of one of the top 35 relay teams listed, to be eligible for selection. Anyone not listed among those leaders but who competed at the Indoor or Outdoor National Championships is also eligible.
Teams must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.10, weighted by term hours completed and quality points, to be eligible for selection.
