REDLANDS, Calif. – The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced their Athletes of the Week Monday with the University of Redlands having four selections, which included Emily Webster (Mission Viejo, CA), Mari Evonuk (Sherwood, OR), Caitlynn Griffith (Pala, CA), and Maegan Deng (Torrance, CA).

Emily Webster (Mission Viejo, CA)
The University of Redlands Women's Lacrosse team had a big week going 2-0 with wins over Occidental College (15-7) and California Lutheran University (22-4) picking up the season sweeps over both.

Webster paced the Bulldogs offensively totaling 12 points on the week, which came on 7 Goals and 5 Assists.  She took 11 shots and grabbed 2 groundballs.

Against the Tigers she had four goals, an assist, five points and five shots on goal.  She then returned Saturday on Senior Day to post three goals, four assists, seven points, two groundballs, and three shots on goal (100%).

Mari Evonuk (Sherwood, OR)
Evonuk, last year's runner-up at the SCIAC Championship but with the best mark of the conference by season's end, took first place in the high jump at the multi-divisional Pomona-Pitzer Invitational over the weekend, clearing 1.61 meters (5 feet, 3.25 inches).

Caitlynn Griffith (Pala, CA)
The University of Redlands Softball team was perfect on the weekend, going 3-0 with a sweep over Claremont-Mudd-Scripps extending their winning streak to 19-games, which ties the program record.  They are now 29-4, 14-1 SCIAC.  They have now swept their fourth conference opponent on the season.

Griffith was called upon in a couple of relief situations, and she was perfect going 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA.  She threw 5.1 Innings in relief, scattering just five hits, not giving up a walk or a run and striking out nine.

She entered Game 1, going the final 1.1 Innings in a tie ballgame and gave up just one hit, along with three strikeouts.  She then returned in the doubleheader in Game 1 and threw the final four innings, scattering four hits, not allowing a run and striking out six.

Maegan Deng (Torrance, CA)
The University of Redlands Women's Tennis team had a tight loss to No. 1 Claremont-M-S (5-2) this past week.  But the bright spot was Deng at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles who went 2-0.

She partnered with Lindsey Whelan (Mercer Island, WA) taking down the top doubles team (Eisenman/Cedillo) 6-3.  She then returned to dominate the No. 2 player Rebecca Kong (Moved up to No. 1 because CMS took out Eisenman) 6-2, 6-0.
