University of Redlands

Tatum Etchegoyen-Springer was hired as the school’s first women’s flag football head coach in February 2025.

Etchegoyen-Springer comes to Redlands after serving as Edison High School’s flag football head coach and club team Conquer SoCal’s coach from 2023-25.

While at Edison she organized season schedules, planned practices, and created strategies for team resource use. She led them to their first California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) semifinal.

With Conquer SoCal she coached 10u-18u teams and coordinated tournaments. She won the 10u NFL Raider Reginal Championship in 2024.

She graduated from the University of East London with a bachelors of honor in 2021. She graduated with second class upper division honors with a degree in criminology and criminal justice.

The athletics department announced in August 2024 that it will sponsor women’s flag football at the NCAA Division III level in 2025-26.
