Coaching Philosophy

As a coach, my mission is to develop student-athletes not only as players but also as individuals who are prepared to succeed in all aspects of life. I believe in creating an environment where growth, teamwork, accountability, and fun are central to everything we do. Each challenge and setback present an opportunity for players to grow. I encourage student-athletes to embrace the process of continuous improvement, step out of their comfort zones, and develop resilience. Winning is a byproduct of what we do, the real goal is to help athletes become better, both on and off the field. Success, to me, is rooted in collaboration. Building strong relationships with teammates, coaches, and the broader community is just as essential as any skill or strategy. Accountability plays a key role in this, as I hold myself, my staff, and my players to the highest standards, whether on the field, in the classroom, or in our everyday actions. While hard work and discipline are important, sports should also be fun. I want every player to leave the field feeling joy and pride in their effort, knowing they are part of something meaningful. Ultimately, my goal is for each athlete to leave our program not only better at lacrosse but also better prepared for life, with lasting connections and memories that extend far beyond their time at Redlands.
