Krystina Aguilera

Krystina Aguilera is an Assistant Athletic Trainer at the University of Redlands, bringing extensive experience in sports medicine across multiple settings and elite-level athletics. With her Master's of Science in Athletic Training from Azusa Pacific University and dual certifications as both a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Krystina delivers comprehensive care that bridges injury prevention, treatment, and performance enhancement.

Krystina's career spans diverse environments from high school athletics to professional sports medicine clinics and international competition. Prior to joining University of Redlands, she served as an Injury Prevention Specialist with Work Right NW and spent three years as an Athletic Trainer and Clinical Assistant at the prestigious CU Sports Medicine and Performance Center in Boulder, Colorado. Her clinical experience also includes roles with Cornerstone Orthopedics and Sports Medicine and serving as Head Athletic Trainer at both Riverdale Ridge High School and St. Paul High School.

Her expertise extends to elite international athletics, having provided sports medicine support for U.S. Soccer and U.S. Figure Skating at multiple international competitions, including ISU events in Budapest, France, and Poland, as well as U.S. Soccer Development Academy showcases. This international experience demonstrates her ability to work with world-class athletes under high-pressure competitive environments.

Krystina maintains an impressive array of specialized certifications that enhance her clinical practice, including dry needling (SFDNL1), Functional Movement Screen, advanced kinesiology taping techniques, and Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM). She is also certified in phlebotomy and holds Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification. Her commitment to continuing education is evident through her active participation in professional symposia, including the U.S. Soccer Health and Safety Summit and National Athletic Trainers Association clinical meetings.

As a member of both the National Athletic Trainers Association and National Strength and Conditioning Association, Krystina stays current with evolving best practices in sports medicine and performance training. Her unique combination of clinical expertise, elite-level experience, and advanced certifications positions her to provide exceptional care to student-athletes while supporting their performance and long-term athletic development.
