The University of Redlands volleyball team cruised to a
three-game victory over Caltech in Currier Gym tonight, 30-11,
30-9, 30-28.
The Bulldogs gained contributions from 16 of its 18 players, as
freshman Liz Figeroid (Sacramento, CA) put away 11 kills on 20
attempts with only one error for a hitting percentage of .500. In
addition, sophomore Katy Douglass (Roseville, CA) knocked down six
kills on 14 attempts for an impressive mark of .429. For Caltech,
sophomore Lisa Yee (Los Angeles, CA) led the team with nine kills
while freshman Katie Peters (Phoenix, AZ) added seven.
Redlands (6-6, 1-1 SCIAC) takes to the road on Friday and Saturday
and competes in the Leopard Invitational at the University of La
Verne. Friday’s schedule pits the Bulldogs against UC Santa
Cruz at 11 a.m. and Chapman University at 5 p.m. On Saturday,
Redlands faces Elmhurst College (IL) at 11 a.m. and then La Verne
at 3 p.m.
