The 14th-best men's water polo team in the nation
continued to roll in Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic
Conference (SCIAC) play as No. 14 University of Redlands easily
handled Occidental College by a score of 11-5 on Oct. 25.
Junior center Brendan Meaney (Palm Desert, CA) led the offensive
charge for the Bulldogs with three goals on the afternoon. Also
scoring for the maroon and gray were junior utility player Jim
Kehrig (Danville, CA) and sophomore center Miran Terzic (Mostar,
Bosna i Hercegovina) with two goals and senior driver Andrew
Becskehazy (Miami, FL), junior driver Brent Dotters (Porterville,
CA), junior utility player Ryan Floersch (San Jose, CA) and junior
driver Taylor Swyers (St. Louis, MO) with one apiece.
In goal, senior goalkeeper Teddy Trowbridge (Mercer Island, WA)
stopped 10 shots and surrendered five goals.
Occidental's Andrew Valdes led both teams in scoring with
four goals. Abiel Garcia also found the back of the net for the
Tigers.
Redlands (18-7, 3-0 SCIAC) play a doubleheader on the road on
Wednesday, Oct. 29, taking on Chapman University in Orange at 3
p.m. before traveling to Pasadena to face off against the Beavers
of Caltech at 7 p.m.
