The University of Redlands women's volleyball team (5-7,
2-1 SCIAC) lost in three games to the third-ranked Leopards of the
University of La Verne, which snapped a three-match winning streak
for the Bulldogs.
La Verne won the sets by scores of 25-20, 25-13 and 25-15.
Sophomore outside hitter Jackie Hamilton (Loma Linda, CA) led the
team in kills with five and also provided two service aces.
Helping out the offensive attack, junior setter Kelina Smith
(Kurtistown, HI) accumulated 13 assists.
Defensively, junior libero/defensive specialist Lauren Harding
(Altadena, CA) racked up 21 digs.
Redlands returns to action tomorrow night in a non-conference match
against the Panthers of Chapman University in Currier Gym at 7 p.m.
