The University of Redlands men's water polo team edged
Pomona-Pitzer Colleges, 8-6, on Wednesday afternoon in
Claremont.
Senior center Ryan Floersch (San Jose, CA) and junior center Miran
Terzic (Bosna, Mostar i Hercegovina) paced the Bulldog offense with
two goals apiece while senior driver Marc Hicks (Granada Hills,
CA), senior central defender Ian Starkie (Arroyo Grande, CA),
senior central defender John Floersch (San Jose, CA) and senior
driver Brent Dotters (Porterville, CA) each scored once.
Guarding the cage for the Maroon and Gray, senior goalkeeper Teddy
Trowbridge (Mercer Island, WA) made a game-high eight saves.
Pomona-Pitzer (12-13, 3-1 SCIAC) entertains Whittier College on
Saturday at 11 a.m. in Claremont. At 1 p.m., the Sagehens face Mt.
San Antonio College.
Redlands (11-15, 3-1 SCIAC), ranked No. 2 in the latest Collegiate
Water Polo Coaches Association (CWPA) Division III Poll, hosts a
doubleheader on Saturday, first taking on the Beavers of Caltech at
11 a.m. before squaring off against Cal Baptist University at 4
p.m.
