Senior center Ryan Floersch (San Jose, CA) paced the Bulldog
offensive attack with five goals as the University of Redlands
men's water polo team cruised past Occidental College, 19-11,
on Wednesday evening in Redlands.
Junior center Miran Terzic (Mostar, Bosna i Hercegovina) and senior
driver Erik Grosshans (Oxnard, CA) netted three scores apiece while
senior driver Taylor Swyers (St. Louis, MO), senior driver Marc
Hicks (Granada Hills, CA), senior driver Brent Dotters
(Porterville, CA), senior driver Clint Stevenson (South Jordan,
UT), senior central defender Ian Starkie (Arroyo Grande, CA),
junior driver Bo Sidhu (Indio, CA), sophomore goalkeeper Ben
Ballard (Riverside, CA) and junior center Blake vanHartesvelt
(Mercer Island, WA) each found the back of the cage once.
Minding the net for the Maroon and Gray, freshman goalkeeper Jessie
Gunther (Perris, CA) made six saves while senior goalkeeper Teddy
Trowbridge (Mercer Island, WA) managed two stops.
Redlands (13-16, 5-1 SCIAC) hosts Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges
in its Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference
(SCIAC) dual-match finale on Saturday evening in Redlands. Game
time is set for 7 p.m. at the Thompson Aquatic Center. Prior to the
start of the contest, the team will honor its seniors in a Senior
Night ceremony.
