The University of Redlands men's water polo returned to Southern
California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) action on
Wednesday afternoon with a road game against Cal Lutheran
University. On the heels of senior center Brendan Meaney's (Palm
Desert, CA) five-goal outburst, the Bulldogs garnered an 11-7
victory over the Kingsmen.
In addition to Meaney, senior driver Bo Sidhu (Indio, CA) and
senior center-defender Andrew Smith-Jones (Annapolis, MD) both
provided a multi-goal performance with two goals apiece. Senior
driver Drew Fischer (Highland, CA) and junior driver Jeff Parsons
(Newark, CA) also found the back of the net for one score each.
Sophomore goalkeeper Jessie Gunther (Perris, CA) came up with
some important stops as he collected 10 saves for the Bulldogs.
Redlands (11-12, 2-0 SCIAC) heads to Pasadena for a SCIAC match
against Caltech on Saturday at 10 a.m. In honor of
Homecoming/Bulldog Bash 2010, the men's water polo team then
returns to the Thompson Aquatic Center for their annual alumni
event at 1 p.m. that afternoon.
