Griffin blasted the ball past the Sagehen goalkeeper, earning his 10th netter of the season and fifth in the last four games.
Both teams put up a number of shots during the match, registering 24 between them with Redlands edging Pomona-Pitzer by a 13-11 margin.
Freshman goalkeeper Andreas Silva (San Jose, CA) kept up his solid play between the pipes by collecting his 11th victory of the 2010 campaign. He recorded four saves in the process.
With the win, the top-seeded Bulldogs (13-2-2) host the SCIAC Postseason Tournament final at Farquhar Field on Saturday night at 7 p.m. against conference rival and second-seeded Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges. The Stags defeated Whittier College in overtime by a score of 1-0 earlier tonight.
