The University of Redlands volleyball team traveled to Eagle Rock on Friday to face Occidental College in its final Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference road-match of the season. The Bulldogs put up a valiant effort in the opening set, but struggled against the relentless attack of the Tigers, falling by scores of 18-25, 11-25, 13-25.

Occidental uncorked a hitting percentage of .300, compared to Redlands' showing of .103. The Bulldogs rallied for their best attack of .200 in the second stanza, but the Tiger attack remained more proficient.

Junior libero Joanna Koda (Watsonville, CA) made her fourth appearance of the season, racking up a team-high 10 digs for the Bulldogs.

Redlands (3-22, 2-11 SCIAC) looks forward to Senior Night on Tuesday as the Bulldogs take on the Leopards of the University of La Verne at 7:30 p.m. in Currier Gym.
