U of R Men's Basketball records their third win over a Top-25 team upsetting No. 25 UW-Oshkosh

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – The University of Redlands Men's Basketball team picked up their fourth win on the season and their third against a preseason nationally ranked team on Saturday afternoon as they completed the Great Lakes Invitational with an 82-62 win over No. 25 University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

The Bulldogs scored the first four points of the game thanks to Cameron Brown (Bakersfield, CA) who scored on a pair of layups. The Titans would respond with a 5-0 run of their own to take a 5-4 lead at the 18:01 mark.

That lead for the Titans was their only one of the half as the Bulldogs took their first double-digit lead of the game 10 minutes later, 27-16. Kendrick Currey (Manteca, CA) had nine points during the Bulldogs 23-11 run.

The Titans closed to within eight points, but the Bulldogs finished on a 7-1 run that started with a Khyree Armstead (Mountlake Terrace, WA) three coming off a Jhace Boston (Bakersfield, CA) assist and then Boston scored in the paint and Robert Power (Pacific Palisades, CA) converted on a pair of free throws to end the half giving UR a 43-29 lead.

Redlands maintained their double figure lead for the entire the second half as they led by as many as 22 after Boston setup Sam Abere (Lake Oswego, OR) on a three in the final two minutes of the game.

Brown and Currey finished with game-highs of 17 points in which both shot over 50 percent from the field. For Currey he has now scored in double figures in all four of his games this season. Boston, Lucas Gordon, and Armstead also had 10 plus points with 14, 14, and 13 points, each respectively. Gordon added 12 rebounds, a career-high, for his second career double-double.

The tough schedule does not end here for the Bulldogs as they come home for a matchup with No. 9 New York University on Saturday, November 25 beginning at 2:00 p.m. inside Currier Gym.
