Jarette Barajas selected 2nd Team All-American by United Soccer Coaches

United Soccer Coaches All-American Teams

KANSA CITY, Mo. – University of Redlands senior midfielder Jarette Barajas (San Jose, CA) continues to collect the hardware as he was named a 2nd Team All-American announced by the United Soccer Coaches.   

Barajas becomes the twelfth individual Bulldog to become an All-American in the program dating back to 1999.  This list includes current Assistant Men's Soccer Coach Cody Carlson (2010) and two-time All-Americans Ross Schunk (2006 & 2008), Silver Martinez (2005 & 2006) and Bryan Fakkema (2006 & 2008). 

This season Barajas helped lead the Maroon and Grey to the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Tournament Final and at the same time was voted the SCIAC Offensive Athlete of the Year, 1st Team All-SCIAC and a 1st Team All-Region X performer.   

On the year he put up career numbers totaling 11 goals, four assists and 26 points.  He provided three game-winners and was perfect on the year going 3-for-3 on penalty kicks.  He also scored a second half hat-trick in a game against Vanguard University.
