MCMINNVILLE, Ore. – The University of Redlands Football team dropped their second game on the season Saturday afternoon falling 45-0 at No. 23 Linfield University.

The Bulldogs kicked off to the Wildcats to begin the game and Linfield moved it to the Bulldog 27-yard line.  This drive would stall though on a second and five with Chase Hunter (Murrieta, CA) intercepting a pass in the endzone to get the ball to the offense for the first time.

The opening drive for the U of R would lose six yards with Aidan Petruescu (La Habra, CA) punting it 38 yards to the Linfield 48.

Just over two minutes later the Wildcats would score on a one-yard rushing touchdown.

The rest of the first quarter saw the Bulldog offense total drives of three plays for negative two yards, nine plays for 39 yards that ended in a missed field goal, and three plays for negative seven yards.

In the second quarter the Maroon and Grey had only 36 yards of total offense as they went into the half down 24-0.

After deferring to the second half the Bulldogs received the opening kick-off. The drive gained only got 21 yards, all of which came on the first play when Calel Olicia-Aramboles (Westfield, IN) ran for six yards with another 15 yards being tacked on for an unsportsmanlike penalty.

In the fourth quarter Redlands had their best drive of the game as they went from their own 24 getting all the way to the Linfield 45 before a failed fourth down conversion.

Olicia-Aramboles finished with 53 yards on only 11 rushing attempts. Cal Breen (Bainbridge Island, WA) had two catches for a team-high 24 yards.

Defensively Matt Lising (San Diego, CA) had nine solo tackles. Jonathan Aguilera (Corona, CA) had two tackles and a tackle for loss, and Dominic Vargas (Riverside, CA) also added a tackle for a loss.

In the backfield Laurence Williams (Corona, CA) had a pick and two pass breakups. Hunter added five tackles and one interception.
