THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – The University of Redlands Men's Water Polo team (5-14, 4-0 SCIAC) stayed undefeated in Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) play as they beat California Lutheran University (CLU) 10-9 Wednesday afternoon.

After conceding the opening goal, Redlands' Adam Lambert (St. Louis, MO) found Ossie Joplin (Kentfield, CA) to tie the game on a powerplay. Less than a minute later Tanner Stagner (Laguna Niguel, CA) assisted Camilo Solis (Camarillo, CA).

Tied at two heading into the second quarter the Bulldogs created some space with the Kingsmen outscoring them 4-2.

Tim Jensen (Elmhurst, Ill.) assisted Lennon Franklin (Redlands, CA) and Jake Simpson (El Cajon, CA). Lambert had the assist on one of Oliver Finley's (Cape Town, South Africa) two goals as the U of R took a 6-4 lead into the half.

Tied at eight in the fourth quarter, Jensen assisted Lambert and Brody Nielsen (Capitola, CA) found Finley for the game-winning goal on a powerplay with 4:24 remaining in the game.

CLU got one back with 2:57 on the clock, but goalkeeper Troy Barker (Roseville, CA) made two saves the rest of the way to secure the win for the Bulldogs.

Barker finished with five saves and five steals in goal. Solis and Franklin added three steals each. Simpson drew three exclusions and had two steals in the Bulldogs first game allowing single digit goals since a 14-6 win over Fresno Pacific University.
