Women's Basketball SCIAC Athletes of the Week (Week 5)

REDLANDS, Calif. – The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced their Athletes of the Week Monday for Women's Basketball with junior AJ Wick (Henderson, NV) being selected as the Defensive Athlete of the Week in the fifth week of voting.

Wick recorded a massive 19-point, 17-rebound double-double with four steals for the University of Redlands to open SCIAC play with a win over Chapman University. The Bulldogs also held the University of California, Santa Cruz to just 43 points in a nonconference victory.  On the week she finished with 27 points (13.5 PPG), 24 rebounds (12.0 RPG), six steals, and shot 88% from the free-throw line.

Redlands returns to the court December 17-18 on the road for the first time this season when they travel to Puerto Rico for the Puerto Rico Clasico where they will take on Mount Saint Mary College (NY) and Montclair State University.
