Redlands Women's Water Polo drops road SCIAC game at No. 2 Claremont-M-S

CLAREMONT, Calif. – In a difficult road match-up with No. 2 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS) Saturday morning, the University of Redlands Women's Water Polo team (1-14, 0-3) would fall 20-1.

The Athenas scored the first 10 goals of the game before Lucia Notaro (Thousand Oaks, CA) scored on a powerplay at the 1:40 mark of the second quarter.

As a team the Bulldogs managed 12 shots, though, they did equal the Athenas with seven powerplay opportunities thanks to three drawn exclusions by Emma Parker (Yucaipa, CA) and one for Notaro and Katelyn Dwelley (Wildomar, CA). Parker also had three steals while Gianna Ratto (Santa Rosa, CA) and Notaro collecting one each.

The Bulldogs return home to the Thompson Aquatic Center on Wednesday, March 19 at 7:00 p.m. when they host the University of La Verne.
