Women's Basketball SCIAC Athletes of the Week (Week 10)
REDLANDS, Calif. – The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced their Athletes of the Week Monday for Women's Basketball with University of Redlands First-Year
Teagan McIlroy (Phoenix, AZ) being selected as the Offensive Athlete of the Week in the tenth week of voting.
McIIroy, who has now been named a SCIAC Athlete of the Week for the second time this season was electric for the Bulldogs across the two games averaging 14.5 PPG (29 Points) with three steals, a block, eight assists, and nine rebounds. She was also 6-for-11 from the field (61.1%) and 3-for-6 from three-point territory (50%).
Against La Verne played 32 minutes and posted 20 points on 7-of-12 shooting with a couple of three-pointers to go with six rebounds, four assists, a block and a steal.
Then to end the week against Whittier added nine points on 4-of-6 shooting to go with three rebounds, four assists, and a couple of steals.
Redlands has a big week hosting Pomona-Pitzer Monday, January 19 at 7:00pm, traveling to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Wednesday, January 21 at 7:00pm and then ending the week hosting Occidental College on Saturday, January 24 at 7:00pm.
