CLAREMONT, Calif. – The University of Redlands Women's Tennis team got their 2026-27 season underway over the weekend participating in the Division III ITA West Regional Championships in Claremont.

The Bulldogs had 11 players compete in the regional with five teams in doubles, three players competing in Flight A Singles, and eight in Flight B Singles. 

Highlights from the weekend included Maegan Deng (Torrance, CA) and Lindsey Whelan (Mercer Island, WA) finishing as Runners-Up in the Doubles Flight A draw, which qualified them for the ITA Cup in Rome, GA.  Sophia Truong (Arleta, CA) took home the Flight B Singles Draw Title, Deng made her way to the Semi-Finals in the Flight A Singles Draw, Whelan fell in the Consolation Semi-Finals of the Flight A Draw, and newcomers Becky Fisher (Tonbridge, Kent, England) and Sammy Ballard (Altadena, CA) came away as Runners-Up in the Consolation Flight A Doubles Draw.
