Bulldog Women's Soccer has strong first half against Cal Lutheran

REDLANDS, Calif. – The University of Redlands women's soccer team (4-10, 3-6 SCIAC) lost 3-0 to California Lutheran University (CLU) Saturday, with all three goals coming in the second half.

Taylor Tidquist (Snoqualmie, WA) forced an early save by the Regal keeper in the fourth minute in what was the lone shot attempt on target for the Bulldogs in the first half.

On the other side, CLU forced Nicole Immoos (San Luis Obispo, CA) into seven saves, which kept the game scoreless at the half.

In the first 23 minutes of the second half the Regals had three looks on goal along with the Bulldogs' Maddie Wallner (Littleton, CO) having an attempt saved as well.

Then in the 66th-minute a shot that deflected off a Bulldog defender beat Immoos at the near post giving CLU their first goal.

The Regals took advantage of the momentum, scoring two more times as the Bulldogs were unable to muster another shot on goal.

Redlands now prepares for a road game in Orange against Chapman University on Wednesday, October 21 beginning at 4:00pm, who they beat 3-1 at home this past week.
