SCIAC Women's Water Polo Weekly Release (Week 1)

REDLANDS, Calif. – The Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) announced their Athletes of the Week Monday for Women's Water Polo with University of Redlands junior goalie Sofia Mather (Riverside, CA) being selected as the Defensive Athlete of the Week in the first week of voting.

Mather made 15 saves over five quarters of work between a University of Redlands win over Wheaton College and a hard-fought defeat to No. 11 Concordia University Irvine.

Redlands returns to the pool this Saturday, February 21 when they travel down to Orange to open up conference play taking on Chapman University beginning at 11:00am.
