REDLANDS, Calif. – The University of Redlands Men's Tennis team swept No. 25 Haverford College 7-0 Thursday evening inside the Verdieck Tennis Center, improving to 3-4 on the season.

Then at No. 2 Sam Parsons (Leamington Spa, England) and Cooper Whittington (Lake Oswego, OR) efficiently did business with a 6-2 win, confirming the doubles point for Redlands. Last off the court was Jack Hinkle (Bountiful, UT) and Mateen Ghafarshad (Claremont, CA) at No. 3 who picked up the sweep with a 6-4 win.

Moving into singles, the Bulldogs continued with the momentum. Hinkle played at No. 3 and was the first match off. All eyes were on court two, as Abarca was cruising.  His match-point came on his opponent missing wide followed by his teammates erupting with "clinch" before storming his court cheering. Abarca clinched the match for the Bulldogs 4-0, with three singles match still going.
Whittington at No. 6 followed with a consistent win of 6-2, 6-2. Ghafarshad at No. 5 won the first set and pulled out a win in the second set tie break 6-3, 7-6 moving the score to 5-0.  The last match on was at No. 4 with William Pullin (Peachtree City, GA).
