D3baseball.com Team of the Week

REDLANDS, Calif. – D3baseball.com announced their Division III National Team of the Week in the fourth week of selections with the University of Redlands having two selections, including Ian Umscheid (Beaumont, CA) and Jesse Bullard (Riverside, CA).  Both are earning recognition for the first time in their careers. 

The Bulldogs earned a sweep over Whitman College, from the Northwest taking all three games of the set 16-7, 16-2, and 10-9.   

Umscheid batted .667 (6-for-9) in the three games. He had four extra-base hits (a double, triple, two home runs) and slugged 1.667. He also scored five times and drove in seven.

Bullard put together a big weekend hitting .636, going 7-for-11, with five of the hits being for extra-bases. He added seven runs scored, 11 RBI's, four walks, two doubles, three home runs, slugged 1.636 and added a .733 OBP.
