REDLANDS, Calif. – The University of Redlands women's water polo team (5-20, 3-9) ended their 2026 regular season with a 9-2 home loss to No. 4 Chapman University Saturday morning. Prior to the game, they honored their three seniors: Ainsley Killian, Gianna Ratto, and Alyssa Sorrell.
Following the opening goal by Chapman, Lucia Notaro was found by Kiera Federline to equalize at one with 6:38 to play in the first. The Panthers, though, responded with the next seven goals to go ahead by seven, 8-1, with 4:32 on the clock in the second quarter.
Following a defensive scoreless stretch of six minutes by the Bulldog defense, their offense pulled a goal back at the 6:32 mark of the third when Teagan May assisted Killian.
Overall, Redlands' defense held Chapman to only one goal over the final 20 minutes and 32 seconds.
Federline had an assist, two drawn exclusions, and a steal. Notaro scored once and drew two exclusions. Brooklyn Green won another four sprints, drew an exclusion, and recorded two steals. Off the bench Nora Jackson had two steals in the fourth to aid the defensive effort.
With this game, the Bulldogs conclude their 2026 season. They finish seventh in Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC), only two games back of the fifth and final SCIAC Tournament spot.
