Redlands Softball No. 1 seed at Wartburg Regional in Iowa

INDIANAPOLIS – The NCAA announced the 2026 softball championship bracket with the University of Redlands softball team slated as a No. 1 seed in the Wartburg College regional in Waverly, Iowa.

The Bulldogs, the No. 9 ranked team in the NCAA NPI, are joined by No. 4 seed and No. 101 team in the country Dominican University (Illinois), No. 3 seed and No. 43 Illinois Wesleyan University (IWU), and the host No. 2 seed and No. 18 Wartburg.

The regional bracket has the same double elimination format as the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Tournament last weekend.

Redlands will play game one on Thursday, May 14 at 9:00 a.m. pacific time (PT) against No. 4 seed Dominican. They will play Friday at either 9 a.m. PT if they win or 11:30 a.m. PT if they lose. The Wartburg versus IWU game is at 11:30 a.m. Thursday.

If advancing past their first two games, they will play at either 2 p.m. Friday if they are 1-1 or 9 a.m. Saturday if they are 2-0 or 2-1. The undefeated 2-0 team will need only one win Saturday while the 2-1 team will have to win twice to win the regional title.
