REDLANDS, Calif. — The University of Redlands Athletics Department and Head Men's and Women's Golf Coach
Jamie Zantua is proud to announce the addition of
Kendall Nicholson as the new Assistant Men's and Women's Golf Coach. A standout alum of the Redlands golf program, Nicholson brings a rare combination of decorated playing credentials and hands-on coaching experience to the Bulldogs' staff.
Nicholson graduated from the University of Redlands in 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts in Media Visual Culture after a standout collegiate career. During that time, she compiled an impressive list of individual honors, including WGCA Second Team All-American recognition in 2023 and WGCA Honorable Mention All-American and WGCA All-West Region accolades in 2021. She was also named to the All-SCIAC First Team three times (2019, 2022, 2023) and swept both the SCIAC Athlete of the Year and SCIAC Newcomer of the Year awards in 2019. Her team claimed 15 victories during her tenure, including a Division III National Team Runner-Up finish in 2022.
"Really excited to have Kendall back on the staff! With her experience and knowledge of the Division III landscape I know she'll make an immediate impact on the men's and women's golf teams at the University of Redlands." —
Jamie Zantua
Since completing her playing career, Nicholson has been building her coaching résumé at the collegiate and youth levels. She served as Assistant Men's and Women's Golf Coach at the University of Redlands (September 2023–June 2024), held the same role at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon (September 2024–May 2025) and most recently at the University of La Verne. In parallel, she has continued her long-running work as a Golf Coach for First Tee, a position she has held since July 2020 across both the Seattle area and the Inland Empire.
Known for her observational acuity and her emphasis on player empowerment, Nicholson specializes in supporting the personal growth of student-athletes alongside their athletic development. She has built a reputation for fostering cohesive team cultures, managing rosters, and developing strategies that keep players motivated through the rigors of a competitive season.
The Redlands golf community will recognize Nicholson not only as a former Bulldog standout but as someone who has remained deeply committed to the sport and to the development of young athletes at every stage of her career. The program looks forward to the energy, experience, and championship perspective she brings back to the Bulldogs!
Nicholson is a 2023 University of Redlands graduate and WGCA Second Team All-American. She brings more than five years of coaching experience across First Tee, the University of Redlands, Lewis & Clark College, and the University of La Verne. She currently resides in Montclair, California.
