REDLANDS, Calif. - Former University of Redlands Men's Basketball player Lucas Gordon (San Marcos, CA) has been selected as one of two SCIAC nominees for the Division III Commissioners Association Men's Sport Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award.

He will advance to the next round of regional consideration, which will be determined by the commissioners joining Claremont-Mudd-Scripps' Advik Mareedu (Men's Tennis).  One student-athlete will move on from each of the NCAA's 10 regions for national consideration, and the national winner will be announced on September 3.
 
Gordon ended his time with the Bulldogs as a two-time First Team All-SCIAC performer and a 2026 D3Hoops.com Second Team All-American. His senior year was highlighted by several other accolades, including being named the SCIAC Athlete of the Year, a CSC Second-Team Academic All-American, the D3Hoops.com Region X Player of the Year, First-Team NABC All-Region 10, First-Team D3hoops.com and an NABC D3 All-Star selection. In 2025, Gordon and the University of Redlands finished as the SCIAC's Regular Season Champions and SCIAC Tournament Champions, before earning a trip to the NCAA Tournament. His 725 career rebounds are good for second all-time in program history.

He is currently playing professionally in Australia for the Mount Gambier Pioneers.
