SCIAC Men's Soccer Athletes of the Week (Week 3)

REDLANDS, Calif. - University of Redlands men's soccer junior goalie transfer Jaden Nisperos (San Diego, CA) was named the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Defensive Athlete of the Week following an impressive week of competition between the posts. 

The University of Redlands Men's Soccer team had a strong week going 1-0-1 with a win over the University of La Verne (1-0) before tying with Claremont-M-S (1-1), improving their overall record to 5-1-3, 2-0-1 SCIAC. 

Nisperos was outstanding between the posts finishing the week with 10 saves, 1 Shutout, 22 shots faced, 11 of which were on goal and played all 180:00 minutes.  

Against the Leos he posted his third shutout on the season collecting three saves after facing nine shots, three of which were on goal.  He then returned against the Stags to finish with another seven saves, facing 13 shots, eight of which were on goal.    

Redlands returns to the pitch this Wednesday, September 30 when they host the Kingsmen of California Lutheran University beginning at 7:00pm.
