REDLANDS, Calif. – University of Redlands Head Women's Lacrosse Coach
Sean Hansen has announced the hiring of
Kendall Havill as an assistant coach for the upcoming 2027 season. Havill joins the Bulldogs after a standout playing career at both the Division III and Division I levels and a year of coaching that helped turn around a program.
Havill was a two-time IWLCA All-American at Colorado College, earning Third Team honors in 2023 and Second Team honors in 2024. She also received USA Lacrosse Preseason All-American and All-American Honorable Mention recognition in 2024 and was a two-time IWLCA All-Region First Team selection.
As team captain in 2024, Havill led the Tigers to a 16-6 record, an undefeated 8-0 conference mark and an appearance in the NCAA Sweet Sixteen. She finished her career in the Colorado College record books for single-game goals, single-season goals and single-season points.
She then played a final season of Division I lacrosse at the University of Colorado, where she started 11 of 16 games and was named to the 2025 Big 12 All-Newcomer Team. She also earned her Master's in Organizational Leadership.Â
Havill was equally accomplished in the classroom. She graduated from Colorado College with a degree in sociology (Health and Society) along with a minor in Spanish, was named to the Dean's List from 2021 to 2024, and earned the Sheffer Fund Award and multiple academic honors, including CSC Academic All-District and IWLCA Academic Honor Roll recognition.
Havill began her coaching career at Kalamazoo College, where she directed the offensive unit during a 2025-26 season of significant growth. The Hornets improved from 4-13 to 10-9 overall and from 3-4 to 5-2 record in conference play, while earning the first conference playoff win in program history.
Under Havill's direction, Kalamazoo's scoring rose from 10.65 to 14.47 goals per game, an increase of 36 percent, while shots per game climbed from 21.5 to 30.7, up 43 percent. The team also posted the highest-ranked win in program history, over a No. 14 nationally ranked opponent.
Over the summer, Havill coached with Puget Sound Select, working with club athletes on skill development, game IQ and positional training, while supporting their pursuit of collegiate opportunities at multiple NCAA levels.
Since 2021, Havill has also run
Kendall Havill Lacrosse, a private training business offering individual and small-group sessions. She designs position-specific programs focused on footwork, stickwork and high-repetition training, and has become a trusted mentor and role model for young athletes in her community.
Her leadership background also includes a 75-day National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) semester in Baja, Mexico, where she trained in leadership and coaching techniques, group dynamics and team performance in demanding environments.
