Won his first four counting matches to begin his collegiate career, wins vs. Mary Washington (Mar. 3), vs. Christopher Newport (Mar. 4), vs. Vassar (Mar. 9), and had a comeback win vs. Hardin-Simmons (Mar. 12) 3-6, 6-4, 6-0 ... After one loss, Nelson won four-straight matches again, which included two straight sets wins and two comeback wins after dropping the first set ... Won a conference match vs. Whittier (Apr. 29) 6-3, 6-1 ... In doubles, Nelson won his first doubles match with Donovan Lilov as they won 8-4 vs. Chapman (Apr. 1) ...
