Dominic Rios - Assistant Women's Water Polo Coach

Dominic Rios

Dominic brings a wealth of experience, knowledge, and dedication to the Bulldogs women's water polo program as an assistant coach. Currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Education: Learning and Teaching at the University of Redlands, Dominic previously earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Occidental College in 2022. During his time at Occidental, he was a 4-year athlete on the men's water polo team and a 3-year founding member of the Athletic Department's Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Student-Athlete sub-committee, where he further developed his passion for the sport and commitment to equity in athletics.

His coaching journey began at the club level in 2020, and he has since demonstrated his commitment to developing athletes at various levels on both the men's and women's sides. Currently in his third year as the varsity coach for Citrus Valley High School's girls' water polo team, Dominic has made significant strides in elevating the program and is currently leading the team to their winningest record in school history. His coaching career also includes a stint as an assistant coach at Mayfield Senior School.

With a focus on teamwork, skill development, and strategic play, Dominic is dedicated to helping the Bulldogs achieve their goals and excel in the water.
