Box Score The University of Redlands women's basketball team quickly
took control of Thursday's game against the visiting Beavers
of Caltech and walked away with a solid 71-40 victory in Southern
California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) action. With
13 players scoring, the Bulldogs relied on a total-team effort
while shooting 50.0% from the floor. The Redlands bench contributed
41 points in the victory.
In a well-rounded offense, freshman guard Christina Rios (San
Diego, CA) posted a game-high 12 points, with freshman guard Nicki
Nakhaie (Laguna Hills, CA) and sophomore forward Allison Clark
(Altadena, CA) chipping in 10 apiece. Freshman guard Kilian Cast
(Rancho Palos Verdes, CA) added five assists, while junior guard
Ali Bueno (San Jose, CA) provided four.
For Caltech, Lisha Li and Erin Hoops each scored eight points.
The Bulldogs (13-5, 5-2 SCIAC) head to Occidental on Saturday night
for a 5 p.m. tip-off against the Tigers.
