The University of Redlands men's soccer team dropped an
0-1 decision against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges on Saturday in
Claremont.
Despite strong efforts from senior goalkeeper Evan Hobson (San
Diego, CA), the Bulldogs fell back to .500 in the Southern
California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC)
standings.
Mitchell Skotarczyk scored the match's lone goal off of a
corner in the 43rd minute, which was served up by Ian Anderson.
Hobson stopped a game-high nine shots in between the pipes for the
Maroon and Gray. Ryan Fahey earned the victory guarding the Stag
net, making seven stops.
Redlands (3-5-1, 2-2 SCIAC) looks to gain ground in the SCIAC
standings when it hosts Cal Lutheran University on Wednesday.
Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.
