REDLANDS, Calif. – The University of Redlands Men's Soccer team (7-2-3, 4-1-2 SCIAC) played to a scoreless tie at California Lutheran University (CLU) on Saturday night as Brady Bachman (San Diego, CA) saved a point thanks to a first-half PK stop.
Neither team put a shot on target until the 34th-minute when the Kingsmen drew a penalty that would get saved from Bachman.
The rest of the half saw shots from Phillip Kostenko (Redmond, WA) and Ryan Hubbard (Aliso Viejo, CA), but neither tested the CLU keeper as it was scoreless at the half.
In the 75th Cody Bell (Highland, CA) finally forced the Kingsmen keeper to make a play but the game stayed as it started, scoreless.
That Bell shot would be the lone attempt by the U of R that had a chance to find the back of the net.
Between the two teams there were 26 shots taken but only two on goal. There were also ten cornerkicks (7-3), and 31 fouls (16-15).
Redlands returns home to Farquhar Field as they host the University of La Verne on Wednesday, October 16 beginning at 7:00 p.m.
