REDLANDS, Calif. – Chloe Bullock (Hood River, OR) of the University of Redlands Women's Cross Country team was named the Celia Patterson Sportsmanship Award winner at the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Championships on Saturday.
Bullock set the program 6K record with a 21:25.6 at the Highlander Invitational earlier this season as she beat Maria Ramirez's record from 2018 by 0.2 seconds.
A month prior she set the school 5K record at the UCR Cross Country Invitational where she ran a 17:45.4, 3.3 seconds faster than Ramirez in 2018.
On the season she won the Redlands Invitational, a 4.5K race, took third at the UCR Invite, 32nd in the national Lehigh Paul Short Run, 17th at the Highlander Invitational, and finished seventh at the SCIAC Championships where she was named All-SCIAC for a fourth time.
Her performance at the Redlands Invitational earned her SCIAC Athlete of the Week honors.
Bullock and the Bulldogs will be in Portland, Oregon for the NCAA Division III West Regional Championships on Saturday, November 16.
