CSC Academic All-District Release
GREENWOOD, Ind. – The College Sports Communicators announced their 2023-24 Academic All-District Women's Basketball Teams, and earning the recognition for their excellence in the classroom and on the court for the University of Redlands was Aliyah Anderson (Oceanside, CA) and Leaya Mckinney (Sedalia, CO).
Nominees for all-district must meet the minimum requirements of attending their institution for at least one year, while maintaining a grade-point average (GPA) of 3.50 or higher and playing in at least half of the team's games.
Anderson and Mckinney helped the Bulldogs reach the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) Tournament Semi-Final.
Anderson was named 2nd Team All-SCIAC this season, while averaging 12.1 PPG, 6.4 RPG, and 3.9 APG. She is a Business Administration major and plans to earn her MBA upon graduation. She also boasts a 3.94 cumulative GPA.
Mckinney played in a career-high 21 games this season with her first five career starts. She shot 61% from the field, averaged 17.0 MPG, 6.7 PPG and 5.1 RPG. She is also a Business Administration major, plans to become a CEO upon graduation and has a 3.75 cumulative GPA.
