REDLANDS, Calif. – The University of Redlands Women's Soccer team (4-3-1, 0-2 SCIAC) dropped their Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) home opener 8-1 to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (CMS) Wednesday evening at Farquhar Field.
The Bulldogs found themselves down 2-0 in the first half when Malia Kuhl (Seattle, WA) took the first shot of the game, a look that forced a save from the CMS keeper.

In the second half Gianna Alati (Lake Oswego, OR) got the offense started for the Maroon and Grey with an early attempt blocked around the top of the box.
Then in the 65th Akroush took a free kick from about 30 yards out connecting to the top left corner of the goal to make it 5-1.
The rest of the way saw shots from Jaiden Riodil (Tigard, OR), Aslin Ludford (Colfax, CA), and Averie Stunz (Stanwood, WA), Stunz's shot required a save as it curled towards the back post.
In goal Redlands got minutes for all three keepers with Rhiannon Waldschmidt (San Jose, CA) making her collegiate debut with a save and just short of 14 minutes played.
The Bulldogs remain at Farquhar this Saturday, September 28 as they host Occidental College beginning at 11:00 a.m.
